Axon Moore are representing a truly innovative, market leading business who are light years ahead of their competitors. Due to growth, the company need to recruit an experienced Head of Finance for a period of circa 12 months with the potential to be extended or go permanent.
This is a varied transactional finance role covering bank reconciliation, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and the Commission payments to our valued customers. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading a team in delivering improved accounting activities across multiple international subsidiaries, including Bank Reconciliation, VCC, Commissions, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger.
• Supporting the team on System development, looking for opportunities to optimise and enhance systems and working closely with the Head of Transformation.
• Executing month-end closing routines and provision of management reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Financial Controller and with financial operations for the associated GL activities in your area.
• Ensure that bank reconciliations are consistently and accurately performed across all bank accounts and that the volume of transactions is reportable and accurately measured.
• Ensure that the bank reconciliations can accommodate growth in volume and support a scalable and growing business.
• Support the Commissions team to ensure that our valued customers are serviced appropriately, and payments and queries are made accurately.
• Supporting Sales Ledger activity to ensure that the aged debt position and cash flow is carefully managed in line with Treasury expectations.
• Supporting Purchase Ledger activity to ensure that the ledger is clean and payments are made in line with policy.
• Managing any year-end audit activities relating to your areas of responsibility and in conjunction with the Financial Controller, ensuring both internal and external timelines are met and providing regular updates to auditors and senior management team.
• Ensuring external regulatory deadlines are met on time and in full.
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, compliance requirements, etc. across the processes.
• Work with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues, support the growth of the business in other capacities and enable the wider finance team to be best in class
